E-learning

Embedding responsible practice and behaviour across the whole business is one of the greatest challenges for companies with long standing programmes just as much as for those developing strategy and commitments for the first time.

E-learning and online engagement technology is one of the most advanced and responsive ways of managing this. Corporate Citizenship’s service offers a uniquely effective way of affecting behaviour and attitudes. Employees are increasingly geographically dispersed, often with more flexible working patterns, so traditional learning opportunities are limited by pressure on time and resources.

E-learning provides a solution to these problems through:

  • scenario-based learning that makes CR come alive
  • web and PDA/phone-based options providing flexible delivery channels
  • a cost effective learning tool that can be updated as necessary

For example, we worked with Centrica to launch a revised set of business principles that would become truly embedded in employee behaviour. We helped develop scenarios to illustrate possible ethical dilemmas. Staff use the learning tool to select an option, and then receive guidance about the choice they have made.

E-learning programmes can be used not only to embed business principles and desired behaviours internally, but can also be rolled out to supplier organisations. Different pathways through the programme can be created in order to target different audiences including senior managers, department heads, operational specialists, generalists and support staff.

In partnership with LRN, who provide the technical expertise to design and build e-learning programmes, we provide the expertise on the content and on the best ways to engage with managers and employees. This allows us to offer an engaging product that meets the challenges of a modern organisation.
