We have worked with KPMG for a number of years, assisting the firm especially with its stakeholder engagement and community involvement work. During 2007, we conducted a comprehensive stakeholder mapping exercise, consulting key internal individuals across the business in order to:
- Increase senior level awareness of the role of stakeholder engagement in CSR
- Reinforce the business case for stakeholder engagement
- Develop a stakeholder map for the firm
- Identify key issues for the firm
- Map priority stakeholders in relation to these
- Highlight risks and opportunities arising
- Enable assigning of ownership for stakeholder relationships and engagement across the firm
- Inform CSR strategy development going forward
